This is a simple yet nice little recipe that is another in the comfort series. Kid friendly. Make in a skillet, or move to a pan to keep warm for later. This is adaptable.

Ingredients For skillet beef and cheesy pasta

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 md
    onion, diced, (about 2/3 c)
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 can
    15 oz stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can
    5 oz tomatoe sauce
  • 1 1/2 c
    shredded cheese of your choice
  • 4 c
    cooked macaroni or other pasta or noodles
  • taco chips (optional)

How To Make skillet beef and cheesy pasta

  • 1
    In a large saute pan, start browning the meat. Add the onions, garlic and pepper. Wait on the salt until the end and test for how much salt you need.

    In a large pot, bring water to boil and cook the pasta until done. (about 2 cups dried)

    When beef is done and onions are nearly so, add the tomatoes. Break up tomatoes and simmer on low. Check for salt. Add the drained pasta, and mix in. Then add the cheese if using.

    Serve immediately over taco chips or alone, or place in a casserole dish and place in a 220 oven to hold.
