Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 pounds tomatoes (skinned, and cut up)
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 12 ounces tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef bouillon
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

How To Make russ's spaghetti sauce

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet, crumble meat with onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat while breaking up pieces of meat wit a fork until it loses it's red color
  • Step 2
    Drain off excess fat
  • Step 3
    In a crockpot, combine meat mixture and other ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or until combined and cooked through. Also excellent for pizza topping Freezes well
