1 lb pkg
butter, room temperature
fresh grated nutmeg
salt or to taste
pepper to taste
golden raisins (optional)
sugar hold a few spoonfuls out for the top
1Preheat over to 350
cook egg noodles according to package, then drain.
2While noodles are cooking, in a mixer place soften cream cheese & beat till smooth add sugar & eggs salt, pepper, nutmeg ,1/2 cup golden raisins, mix well.
3I use a glass casserole or lasagna pan, spray or butter the bottom & sides.
Add cream cheese mixture to the hot noodles & mix well, pour into your buttered pan. grade more fresh nutmeg on the top along with the reserved sugar, dab with butter.
4Bake for 45 mins or until the top has started to brown & The kugel is set.
Let rest for 5-10 mins before cutting into squares.
