This is a great Italian recipe I got from my Polish friend Jennifer! Of course I added my own twist to make it even better. It's easy and delicious. On Christmas Eve I have made it for my family and added shrimp. You can also add chicken. You will be a hit with minimal effort. Enjoy!

Ingredients For penne a la vodka

4 Tbspbutter

1diced onion

28 ozcan whole or crushed tomatoes

1/2 tspcrushed red pepper

8 ozcan tomato sauce
-
1/2 cvodka
-
4 ozheavy cream
-
1/4 lbprosciutto ham

1 clovecrushed garlic
-
1 lbpenne pasta, cooked
How To Make penne a la vodka

1Melt butter in a sauce pan. Saute onion until translucent. Add minced garlic. Do not burn garlic.

2Add tomatoes (whole or crushed depending on your taste), tomato sauce, red pepper, vodka and simmer for 20 minutes.

3Remove from the heat and add prosciutto and cream. Serve immediately over penne pasta. Serve with grated parmigiana cheese if desired.
