I make large batches of this sauce and use it for anything that calls for meat ball subs,pizza,chicken cacciatore.I freeze small freezer bags and heat it in the microwave.

Ingredients

1/2 c
olive oil
2 can(s)
stewed tomatoes
4 oz
tomato sauce
1/2 tsp
black pepper
3 medium
bay leaves
1 large
onion fine dice
3 clove
garlic minced
1 Tbsp
sugar
1 1/2 c
water
1 Tbsp
fresh basil
1 Tbsp
oregano, fresh

Step-By-Step

1Saute pepper,onion,garlic over medium heat for about 3 minutes

2In a heavy pot add water tomato sauce and pepper onions and garlic and bring it to a boil.

3Add the basil,oregano,and tomatoes and simmer on low for 45 minutes.
