Ingredients For *** mom's lemon spagetti ***

  • salt
  • 1 lb
    spaghetti
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 4 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • juice & zest from 2 lemons
  • 3/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 1 c
    parmigiano-reggiano, grated
  • handfull
    parsley, chopped
  • 12
    basil leaves, chopped

How To Make *** mom's lemon spagetti ***

    Cook spaghetti, 5 minutes. Drain, reserving pasta water.

    In skillet, oil, garlic, pepper flakes, cook 5 minutes. Add lemon juice, 1 ladle full of pasta water, cream. Saute until bubbles. Add lemon zest & 1/2 of cheese, parsley, basil & salt to taste. Add pasta to sauce mixture, cook 5 minutes to warm. Serve with remaining cheese on top.
