This one pot wonder has been a family favorite of ours for a long time! In the north east I have heard this is often referred to as "American Chop Suey". Whatever you name it, we call it delicious, simple, comfort food!

Ingredients

1 lb
ground beef, extra lean
1 medium
onion, died
1/2 medium
green pepper, diced
2- 14.5 oz can(s)
tomatoes, diced
1 8oz. can(s)
tomato sauce
1/4 c
ketchup
1 c
water
2 Tbsp
sugar
1 1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
cayenne (more if you like it spicy!)
2 c
elbow macaroni, uncooked

Step-By-Step

1Add onion, green pepper and ground beef to dutch oven on med/high until beef is browned. Add all of remaining ingredients. Simmer on med/low 15-20 minutes.
