I found that if you can't get kids to eat spinch then this is a dish for you.. This dish is easy and really good.

Ingredients

8 oz
uncooked penne pasta
8 oz
mild italan sausage, casing removed
8 oz
ground beef
1 jar(s)
( about 26 oz ) pasta sauce
1 pkg
( 10 oz ) frozen , thawed,chopped spinach ( squeezed dry )
1 c
ricotta cheese
1
egg
2 c
shredded mozzarella cheese divided
1/2 c
grated prmesan cheese
2 Tbsp
chopped fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil
1 tsp
salt

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oen to 350. spray 13x9" baking dish with nonstick spray. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, transfer to prepared dish.
2In a large skillet heat over med-high heat, sausage and ground beef, cook until browned, stirring to break up meat.Drain fat off meat, Add pasta sauce and mix well. Add half meat sauce to pasta , toss to coat.
3Combine spinach, ricotta, egg, 1 cup mozzarella, parmesan.basil and salt in med bowl. spoon small mounds of spinach mixture over pasta mixture, spread evenly with back of spoon . top with remaining meat sauce, sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
