Ingredients For hungarian goulash

3 lblean beef chuck

1hot water

3 Tbspflour

4 lgtomatoes, peeled and diced

1/4 cred wine

1/2 ccola

1/2 tspcaraway seeds

2.5 tspsalt

1 Tbsppaprika

1minced garlic clove

2 cchopped onion
-
2 Tbspbutter

1noodles, cooked
How To Make hungarian goulash

1Cut the beef into 1/2 inch cubes, discarding the bone and fat.

2In a dutch oven, melt the butter and add the meat, stiring to brown on all sides.

3Remove the meat cubes as they brown.

4Saute the onion and garlic in the drippings until they are soft.

5Stir in the paprika, salt and caraway seeds; cook for 1 minute.

6Stir in the meat, cola, wine and tomatoes.

7Cover tightly and simmer for about 1-1/2 hours or until the meat is fork tender.

8In a bowl, blend the flour with a little water to make a smooth paste; stir into goulash.

9Serve with hot noodles.
