My mother made a similar casserole when I was a teenager, and I started making it when my husband and I were dating. It's one of our families most requested dishes, and it goes fast regardless of how rich and sinful it is because of all the cheeses. Not for someone who is on a diet, but a scoopful makes great comfort food. I use farfalle because that's my husband's favorite, but almost any medium pasta shape will work with this dish.
1Saute peppers in butter over medium high heat for three minutes, add onions and cook until until tender. Crumble in ground beef, and fry until meat is no longer pink. Pour off fat from pan and add Worcestershire sauce, blend, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir in spaghetti sauce, turn heat down to medium, and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Set aside.
2Preheat oven to 375. Mix cottage cheese with cream cheese in very large mixing bowl until well blended, stir in sour cream. Stir in parsley and mix thoroughly. Mix in pasta, gradually, until all is incorporated. Cheeses will be a little clumpy. Pour cheese and pasta mixture into a medium casserole dish.
3Pour beef mixture over cheese and pasta mixture. Bake for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
