This is really good and the sauce makes so much you will have enough to use for another meal or freeze or can it.

Ingredients

lasagna noodles cooked and cooled
1 large
container full fat ricotta cheese
2 c
shredded mozzarella cheese
1 c
parmesan cheese
1/2 c
fresh basil minced divided

VODKA SAUCE

1 large
sweet onion chopped
6 clove
garlic minced
3 Tbsp
olive oil
2 can(s)
28 oz crushed tomatoes
1 1/2 c
vodka
1 small
can tomato paste
salt and pepper to taste

Step-By-Step

1For the sauce
Saute the onion and garlic in the olive oil until translucent. Add the crushed tomatoes and vodka. Simmer 1/2 hour. Add the tomato paste heavy cream and 1/4 cup basil. Simmer another 1/2 hour. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
2Mix the cheeses together with the other 1/4 cup basil. Lay out the lasagna noodles on wax paper. Cover the entire length of noodle with cheese mixture. Roll up and place in greased cooking pan seam side down.
3When all are finished spoon sauce over top. Bake in 350 degrees oven for 30 minutes.
