Avocado Basil Pasta

Got this recipe from BHG cookbook. I love avocado and this recipe is so simple and delicious.


8 oz
bow-tie pasta, uncooked
2 medium
avocados, halved, seeded, peeled, and coursley chopped
6 slice
bacon, crisp-cooked, drained, and crumbled
2/3 c
chopped fresh basil
2 Tbsp
lemon juice
1 Tbsp
olive oil
3 clove
garlic, minced
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1/8 tsp
1/2 c
finely shredded pecorino romano cheese

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook pasta according to the package directions, drain.
In a large bowl mix avocado, bacon, basil, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, pepper, and salt. Add hot pasta and toss to combine. Transfer to a serving bowl. Top with cheese.

    Sounds wonderful, will the lemon juice keep the avocado from turning dark or do you have to eat this immediately after preparing....thanks for the recipe

    I wouldn't save for more than a day. I had a little left over and the avocados were starting to brown the next day.
