I love the simplicity of this dish, nothing overpowering the flavor of the crab. This could also be made with imitation crab.

Ingredients

1/3 c
olive oil
3 Tbsp
butter
1 small
to medium sweet onion, chopped
2 Tbsp
jarred mince garlic or 2 - 3 cloves fresh minced
1 medium
carrot, julienned
1 1/2 tsp
dried basil
6 oz
crab meat, flaked
1 1/4 Tbsp
lemon juice
2 - 3 Tbsp
chopped italian parsley
8 oz
prepared spaghetti
1 tsp
salt or to taste
Pepper to
to taste

Step-By-Step

1Prepare pasta while making the sauce as it doesn't take long.

In a medium skillet, melt butter with Olive oil, over medium high heat, add onion, garlic and carrots, toss and cook just until tender, stirring often.
2Reduce heat to medium and add the crab, basil, lemon juice and parsley, continue cooking for just a few more minutes and stir in the salt and pepper.
3Place hot pasta in a bowl or large platter and pour the crab mixture over it. Toss to coat pasta.

Can sprinkle with parsley and Parmesan cheese if desire. Serve immediately.
