Ingredients For zucchini mushroom quiche

  • 1 unbaked nine inch deep dish pie shell
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 10 thin slices swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 small zucchini, thinly sliced
  • mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • pepper to taste

How To Make zucchini mushroom quiche

    Bake pie shell at 400 for 10 minutes. Fry the bacon in a skillet til brown and crisp. Drain. Layer bacon, cheese, onion, zucchini, and mushrooms in baked pie shell. Whisk the heavy cream, milk, eggs, flour nutmeg and pepper in a bowl til blended. Pour the cream mixture over the prepared layers and bake at 400 for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 325 and bake for 30 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serves 6
