Colleen's Notes:

This is another unusual sandwich using peanut butter... may sound strange... but it is really good!

Posting these unusual sandwiches, and I thought I was alone... there are others who eat these "unusual" delights! Enjoy!

Directions

1
Fry the bacon, get all ingredients ready to assemble. If you choose to toast the bread, do it now!
2
Put a thin layer of peanut butter on the bread (or toast). Next spread a thin layer of mayonnaise (or Miracle Whip). Put your lettuce on one or both slices of bread.
3
Set the tomato slice(s) on the lettuce. Put the bacon on top of the tomato. Cover with the other slice of bread (or toast). Cut on the diagonal. Enjoy!

Hi Colleen! I remember in the late 60's when JIFF peanut butter came out with bacon bits in peanut butter. As I recall, they didn't make it for very long. I'll bet this would be tasty. I'd use 'the tangy zip of Miracle Whip', though! LOL

Howdy-Hi Colleen! My uncle Chuck LOVED PB & babana sandwiches (as do I, h-m-m-m-m, maybe because I was born on his birthday????), but I don't remember ever hearing about the bacon part. Interesting...

Oo-oo, just remembered...I used to work wiyh a guy who brought PB,banana & Marshmallow Fluff sandwiches to work, but here's the kicker...he liked 'em with...(gulp)...MAYO...?!!!

Hi Colleen, My Mom used to make these when I was a kid. However, we never used bacon; a great sandwich all the same.
