Isabel's Notes:

These are so delicious and I love the taste of the Poblano pepper. I used to make this recipe using bell pepper. Either way you choose,it is delicious. I found this recipe on the box of Sucess Boil in Bag brown rice.

Directions

1
Prepare rice according to package directions.
2
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
3
in a large bowl cobine the cheeses, rice and cooked sausage. Mix well.
4
Stuff each pepper half with mixture and wrap with a slice of bacon.
5
Place peppers on a large baking sheet. Bake 25 min. then place under broiler for about 5 min. or until bacon is crisp.

Isabel, Your recipe sounds so good! I really like spicy or hot so does my husband we love peppers we use peppers in so many of our dishes. I have never heard of these peppers? Are they hot,or mild the Poblano peppers? Where do you buy them? Thanks Elizabeth

Elizabeth, the Poblano is a mild chilli. They are usually used for salsa and it is recommended to roast them first. Even over an open flame on your stove top. My better half makes the most wonderful Salsa with roasted Poblanos..but on to your question..we buy them here in the produce section. If you have a farmer's market or flea market close by they can usually be found there too. I hope you can find them. Let us know. Thank you.

oh thank you Karl. I believe that a roasted poblano pepper is called ancho chilli. Is that correct? Either way your glaze also looks very tasty. I will try it soon and let y'all know. Thanks again.
