How To Make spanish rice
-
1Tip #1 Rice secret #1, is in NOT STIRRING. It kind of goes against what feels natural, but it makes all the difference. Not stirring allows the rice to cook without getting mushy. Tip #2 Rice secret #2 Sauteing the dry rice in oil prior to adding the liquid also makes all the difference.
-
2In a large pan or skillet, saute onion and green pepper in the oil until soft. Add ground beef and seasonings, stirring until meat loses its pink color.
-
3Stir in the cooked rice, tomatoes, catsup, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix thoroughly
-
4Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes.
-
5Garnish with chopped cilantro and shredded cheddar cheese, if desired.
