I got this some years ago from a nurse I worked with. if you like most beans this is a must.

Ingredients

1 pkg
(10 oz ) frozen lima beans
3 can(s)
( 19 oz ) baked beans (6 cups )
3 can(s)
(15 oz ) kifney beans drained
1 lb
italian sausage or pork link
1/2 lb
smoked ham , cut into 1/2
1/2 c
onion chopped
1 clove
(8 oz ) tomato ssuce
1/2 c
packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp
dry mustard
1/2 c
catsup
1 Tbsp
salt
1/2 Tbsp
pepper

Directions Step-By-Step

heat oven to 400 degreese. cook lima bean as directed, and drain . put into a 4 1/2 quart casserole dish, add baked beans and kidney beans.

in a covered skillet simmer sausage in small amount of water for 5 minutes. drain liquid, then panfry sausage until brown on all sides. do not prick the sausage.

cut each sausage into 3 pieces, add with ham to the beans. stir in remaining ingredients. bake uncovered for one (1) hour

for a soup like consistensy, mix all ingredients as above and cook in a slow cooked for at least 4 hours.
