Parsley Pesto Spaghetti Mix

Quick meal from a jar.

2 1/2 cups spaghetti, broken into smaller pieces
1/3 cup dried parsley flakes
1/2 cup blanched almonds, chopped
1/4 tsp plus 1/8 tsp minced garlic
1 cup parmesan cheese


1Layer the ingredients in the order given into a wide-mouth 1 quart canning jar. Pack each layer in place before adding the next ingredient.
2Attach a gift tag with these cooking directions:
Parsley Pesto Spaghetti Mix:
1 Jar Parsley Pesto Spaghetti Mix
1/2 c. butter or margarine melted
2 1/2 c. water
Salt & Pepper to taste

In a medium skillet, place Parsley Pesto Spaghetti Mix and water. Over medium to high heat, bring mixtures to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat to medium and simmer until thickened and the noodles are tender, stirring often. Stir in butter. Add salt and pepper to taste.
