Baking in an oval 7 qt, using a round cake pan with lid (gold color made for CP, baking).baking date and nut loaf. Used a 4 qt pot at one time. Do I need to cook longer ina bigger pot?. This is a very old recipe, not sure it's in the books now.

Mary Anne, Most recipes will cook just a bit longer in a larger crock pot, I suggest going by the recipe guide lines then check on it and cook longer if needed. Hope that helps!

Wishing to find some kind of info when cooking in crockpot about time elements when using a crockpot of a different size than what the size they use in the recipe. I have a 6 qt. crockpot and alot of the recipes are using a 3 qt and sometimes 1 1/2 qt. Hard to figure out. Does anybody know where I can this info. Please let me know and thank you.
