Directions Step-By-Step

1. If you are cooking on the low setting, make sure that any uncooked meat cooks for at least 8 hours.
2. 15 to 30 minutes on stovetop = 1 1/2 - 2 hours on high or 4 - 6 hours on low in slow cooker
3. 35 to 45 minutes on stovetop = 2 - 3 hours on high or 4 - 6 hours on low in slow cooker
4. 50 minutes to 3 hours on stovetop = 4 - 5 hours on high or 8 - 18 hours on low in slow cooker

    Wishing to find some kind of info when cooking in crockpot about time elements when using a crockpot of a different size than what the size they use in the recipe. I have a 6 qt. crockpot and alot of the recipes are using a 3 qt and sometimes 1 1/2 qt. Hard to figure out. Does anybody know where I can this info. Please let me know and thank you.

    Mary Anne, Most recipes will cook just a bit longer in a larger crock pot, I suggest going by the recipe guide lines then check on it and cook longer if needed. Hope that helps!
