During Bahamas Pirate days, African sailors washed up on the shore after a shipwreck. They scoured the beach for food, finding bananas, coconuts, berries, wild boar. From the salvaged wreck they found rum, gunpowder and other non food items.

The designated cook came up with this tasty dish that is still enjoyed today.
