THIS IS SOMETHING I MADE UP TO DO WITH A CAN OF TAMALES ONE DAY. IT WAS VERY GOOD & SO SIMPLE & FAST. I DO NOT HAVE THE TALENT IT TAKES TO MAKE HOMEMADE TAMALES ..SO I BUY THEM IN THE CAN. THEY ARE GOOD..BUT THEY JUST NEED SOMETHING...SO I MADE A CASSEROLE WITH THEM!!

Directions

PLACE THE TAMALES IN A GREASED BAKING DISH (TAKE THEM OUT OF THE PAPERS)

COVER THE TAMALES WITH THE CAN OF CHILI

COVER WITH THE CHEESE OF YOUR CHOICE

BAKE @ 350 FOR 30 MIN'S OR UNTIL IT'S BUBBLY ...

THERE ARE ALOT OF VARIATIONS YOU CAN DO WITH THIS CASSEROLE....SUCH AS..ADD REFRIED BEANS...A LAYER OF SPANISH RICE...TOP WITH TORTILLA CHIPS...TOP WITH SALSA..

Sounds yummy. Where do you find the tamales? The only ones I have seen are in a can.

I use the ones from a can!!! Every once in a while I find homemade ones...I grew up on the ones from a can....Make sure u take them out of the wrappers before u put them in the dish!!! lol

I am going to try this out at one of our church dinners. Thinking of adding A couple of the added suggestions,like the layer of rice and top with tortilla chips. Thanks for sharing this!
