Irisa's Notes:

Rice is such a versatile thing to cook. It can be combined with just about any seasonings and vegetables that you like. I always try to do different things to it…depending on what I’m serving it with.

I'm also including with this recipe my side dish of "do over re- fried beans!

This meal was served with my mole' meat sauce burritos.

Directions

1
Cook rice according to package directions, adding the honey and turmeric to the water.
2
While the rice is cooking, chop the jalapenos and put them in a bowl and salt and pepper.
3
When rice is done, drain and add to the peppers. Mix and serve!
4
My version of “do over “ re-fried beans….
5
Wiz all of this in your food processor…then put in a pot and cook on low till it thickened, this might take about 1 hour. Stir this often as it cooks.
6
When it is all thick remove and serve along side of rice.
