Ingredients For cinnamon sugar churro puffs

  • CINNAMON/SUGAR MIXTURE:
  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • CHURROS:
  • 3/4 c
    + 2 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    fine sea salt
  • 1 x lg
    egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c
    canola oil
  • 3/4 c
    + 2 tbsp club soda

How To Make cinnamon sugar churro puffs

    Preheat oven to 475 degrees F.

    Grease 2 mini muffin pans with nonstick cooking spray.

    In a paper sack or deep pie plate, combine sugar & cinnamon. Set aside

    In a medium bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking soda & salt.

    In a small bowl, whisk together the egg & oil. Add the egg/oil mixture & the club soda to the flour mixture. Using a fork, whisk the wet ingredients into the flour mixture, quickly.

    Pour the batter evenly into the muffin pans (the cups should be almost filled). Bake 12 - 15 minutes; until crispy on the outside & golden brown.

    Cool 1 minute in pans. Remove in batches & toss in cinnamon/sugar mix. Serve warm.
