Broccoli with Tomatoes

- 2 tsp
- butter, unsalted (or olive oil if you prefer)
- 1-2 clove
- garlic, minced
- 1 can(s)
- 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes w/chiles, do not drain (italian style would also work well)
- 1/8-1/4 c
- fresh cilantro, chopped (or basil if using italian style tomatoes)
- 1 1/2 lb
- broccoli florets
- salt and pepper, to taste
1Melt butter in a large, non-reactive saucepan over medium high heat.
2Add garlic, tomatoes and cilantro; simmer uncovered 2-3 minutes.
3Add broccoli, and salt and pepper to taste.
4Reduce heat to medium.
Cover and simmer 7-8 minutes or until broccoli is tender.
