This is a delicious brunch sandwich. I get raves when I have guests for lunch.

Ingredients

2 c
sliced peeled tart apple
5 tsp
butter
2/3 c
chopped walnuts
2 Tbsp
honey
6 Tbsp
cream cheese
2 tsp
powdered sugar
1/2 tsp
ground cinnamon
8 slice
raisin bread
4 slice
muenster cheese

Step-By-Step

1In a large skillet, saute apple slices in 1 teaspoon butter until tender. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, cook and stir the walnuts over medium heat for 2 minutes or until lightly toasted.
2In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, confectioners' sugar, honey and cinnamon until smooth. Stir in walnut mixture. Butter 4 slices of bread and place buttered side down in a buttered, hot skillet. Spread the slices of bread with the cream cheese mixture; layer with Muenster cheese and apple slices. Butter one side of the remaining bread slices and place on top, butter on the outside.
3Toast sandwiches for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
