Ingredients For hot and spicy spareribs

6 lbpork spareribs (2 or 3 slabs)

1/4 cbutter or margarine

2 mdonions, finely chopped

4 clovegarlic, minced

2 can(15 oz) tomato sauce

1 1/3 ccider vinegar
-
1 1/3 cfirmly packed brown sugar
-
1/4 cchili powder
-
2 Tbspprepared mustard
-
1 tspground black pepper
How To Make hot and spicy spareribs

1Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat; add onion and garlic, and saute until tender. Add tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, chili powder, mustard and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2Place ribs on grill over indirect heat; close grill hood. Grill for 1-1/2 hours and then begin basting with sauce every ten minutes, for 30 more minutes. Remove ribs from grill and serve, cutting into serving-size portions. If desired, bring any remaining sauce to a boil, boiling gently for 5 minutes; serve on the side.

3Note: Be sure to sauce the ribs toward the end of the cooking time so that the sauce doesn't burn. Some may enjoy with hot peppers on the side
