What is P ~ P~ P~ P~? It stands for Pepperoni, Peppers & Parmesan cheese Pizza. This is such a satisfying, and filling pizza. You won't find anything like it at those "carry out joints". I love the jarred sauce that I used on this, and keep it on hand for a quick pizza. It’s all natural and contains no preservatives. So if I don’t have the time or energy to make it from scratch this is what I use. OPTIONAL TOPPING: Anchovies...but why? Ha ha ha I posted a picture of my husbands slices anchovies and all!

method Bake

Ingredients For p~p~p~p~

  • 1 tube pizza dough { or homemade if you have it }
  • pepperoni { the amount is up to you, my husband is a meat man, so i’ll load it up }
  • 1 & ½ small or medium onions { sliced into strips }
  • 1 cup assorted sweet bell peppers { red, orange, gold }
  • 1 small jalapeño pepper { minced fine }
  • 2 or 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar
  • 1 – 14 ounce jar classico pizza sauce { depending on how saucy you like your pizza is how much you’ll use }
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese { grated }
  • parmesean romano cheese { cheese yourself silly }

How To Make p~p~p~p~

  • 1
    In a frying pan melt the butter, slice the onions, chop the sweet peppers and mince the jalapeno pepper. Sprinkle the sugar over the top and let this cook till it starts to caramelize.
  • 2
    While the onions and peppers are sautéing line a baking sheet with either foil or parchment paper. Lay the pepperoni out in a single layer on the baking sheet, { how many you put on is up to you } but put more on than you think you’d want, they will shrink up. Bake at 375 till the pepperoni starts to crisp. Remove and set aside
  • 3
    On that same pan, lay some parchment down; roll out the dough, top it with another piece of parchment paper. Place another pan on top of the second parchment and pre-bake the crust at 375 for 10 minutes.
  • 4
    Remove the crust from the oven, and turn down the oven to 325.
  • 5
    Spread the onions & peppers on the crust.
  • 6
    Top with the sauce.
  • 7
    Crumble the crisped pepperoni and put it on top of the sauce.
  • 8
    Top with the mozzarella cheese.
  • 9
    Put another layer of the {unbaked pepperoni } on top of the cheese.
  • 10
    Sprinkle with the Parmesan Romano cheese. As much or as little as you like.
  • 11
    Bake 325 till the crust is browned and everything is hot and delicious.
