Most every recipe I've ever seen always leaves room for improvement... well unless it's perfect already lol! I try to make what tastes and feels good to me and my family. That usually comes with much trial and error. Enjoy!!!

hidden valley ranch seasoning
1-2 bottle
zesty italian dressing
2 c
grape or cherry tomatoes
1 large
seedless cucumber or two seeded reg. cucumbers
2 tsp
fresh dill
1 1/2 Tbsp
fresh parsley
1/4 c
red onion
1/4 c
1/4 tsp
onion powder
1/4 tsp
garlic powder
1 pinch
cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp
1/2 c
shredded carrot
1/4 c
black olives


I c
broccoli florets
2 lb
cubed or shredded chicken
1 lb
shrimp or crab meat
1/2 c
grated parmesan cheese

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook pasta according to the instructions on the package or to your own preference (remember to salt the water). Rinse cooked pasta and place in large bowl. Try not to completely rinse the pasta. Leaving it slightly warm helps the dressing to absorb inside the noodles.
Add the bottle(s) of zesty italian salad dressing. Start with one bottle and add more if needed to keep the salad moist but not soupy. Mix thoroughly and then add the package of hidden valley ranch dressing and all of the other dry ingredients.
Make sure that all of your fresh ingredients have been rinsed well before adding to the pasta, then add the remaining ingredients to the pasta and mix. Try not to over mix the salad or you'll break up the noodles. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 20-25 mins. and enjoy!!! This salad tastes even better the next day!!!
The optional ingredients can also be added to make this a main dish or a more filling side option. This salad can also be prepared as a hot dish for dinner. Drain the pasta but do not rinse it. Follow the above preparation instructions, but withhold the parmesan until all of the other ingredients have been blended. Add the parmesan as a garnish according to your own liking.
