I have been making this for about 40 years. We love it. The spelling of "Lasagne" is the Italian spelling. The English spelling is "Lasagna".

  • 1/2 lb
    ground beef or italian sausage
  • 1/2 tsp

  • cooking spray
  • parmesan cheese (sprinkle as much as you like, on each layer)

How To Make lazy day lasagne my way

  • 1
Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan or dish with cooking spray. Cook noodles in boiling water, with salt and a bit of oil added (to keep noodles from sticking together). Stir occasionally and follow package directions; drain, when ready to use.
  • 2
Meanwhile, if using meat, brown and drain. Add spaghetti sauce and oregano to meat, or just put in a saucepan, if not using meat. Warm sauce briefly.
  • 3
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In prepared baking pan or dish, make layers in order: half each of noodles, cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, spaghetti sauce (with or without meat), and Parmesan cheese. Repeat. Bake in prepared oven for about 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes, before serving. If cottage cheese is too runny, it may have to cook a bit longer. Makes 4 servings.
