Healthy Homemade Breakfast Sausage

I decided it was time to make some changes to my diet. I love good food (who on this site doesn't right?) Breakfast sausage is a real treat. Now you can serve it to your family more often and feel good about the ingredients. This recipe saves a ton of calories!

Ingredients

16 oz
ground turkey or chicken breast
1 medium
apple, peeled, seeded, and finely grated
1/2 c
cooked brown rice

tablespoons, finely grated onion
2 clove
garlic, finely grated
1 1/2
teaspoons ground sage
1
teaspoon salt
1/2
teaspoon ground red pepper
1/2
teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2
teaspoon dried tyme
1/4
teaspoon allspice

Step-By-Step

1Mix all ingredients until very well blended by using your hands or a mixer.
2Separate into patties or use in your favorite recipes containing sausage. To keep calories low use cooking spray instead of oils to cook your sausage.
