Ingredients For corn chowder

3 Tbspbutter or margarine

1 cdiced cooked ham (or chicken)

1/2 cchopped onion

1/2 cchopped celery

1/2 cchopped green or red pepper

2 cchicken broth

1 cdiced potatoes

1/8 tsppepper

1 1/2 cmilk
-
1/2 cheavy cream
-
1 can(17 ounces) cream corn
-
1 jar(2 ounces) sliced pimientos, drained

How To Make corn chowder

1Melt butter in large saucepan. Saute ham 5 minutes and set aside. Saute onion, celery and green pepper until onion is transparent. Add chicken broth, potatoes, and pepper. Cover and cook over moderate heat about 20 minutes, or until potatoes are just tender.

2Add milk, cream, corn, reserved ham (or chicken) and pimientos. Reduce heat and cook until thoroughly heated. Do not boil.

3Spoon into bowls and garnish each serving with paprika.
