From my mother-in-law.

I understand real coq au vin should be with red wine, but this is what she uses and we love it!

Ingredients

boneless chicken pieces
1/2 c
flour (approximate)
garlic powder
salt and pepper
1
onion, diced
olive oil
1 c
chicken broth
1 c
wine, riesling
1-2 Tbsp
tomato paste

Step-By-Step

1Combine flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a zip loc bag

2Shake chicken pieces in flour mixture

3Heat olive oil in pan, sauté onions until translucent, then add chicken and brown

4Add tomato paste to chicken broth.

5Once chicken is browned add chicken broth mixture and wine. Cover and cook until chicken is done
