Ingredients

16 oz
noodles, cooked al dente
2 c
cooked, cubed chicken
4 Tbsp
each - butter & flour
1 Tbsp
minced garlic
1 medium
onion, chopped
salt
& pepper
3 tsp
chicken buillon
2 c
milk
2 1/2 c
chicken broth
1/2 c
sour cream
3/4 c
shredded, white cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp
fresh parsley, chopped

TOPPING - OPTIONAL ~ I DIDN'T ADD THIS TIME

2 Tbsp
butter, melted
1/3 c
bread crumbs
1/4 c
parmesan cheese

Step-By-Step

1Cook your noodles, a little less than package directions state, as they will cook more in oven. Drain and set aside.
2In a large skillet, over medium heat, melt butter and add garlic & onions - stir occasionally. Cook until onions become translucent.
3Add flour, stir and cook for 1 minute.
4Whisk in the milk & chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then simmer until thickens. Stir in salt & pepper and buillon.

Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
5Remove from heat.

In a large bowl, add noodles, sauce, sour cream, cheese, chicken and parsley. Stir well.
6Pour into a 9 x 13 greased baking dish.

If using topping, mix the 3 ingredients together and sprinkle evenly over the top of casserole.
7If not using topping, cover and bake for 30 - 35 minutes. Let set a few minutes, before serving.

If using topping, bake covered for 25 minutes, then remove cover and bake an additional 10 - 15 minutes, or until top is golden.
