The Best and Easiest Chicken & Rice Casserole

This is so good and easy to make. The best part about this recipe is that you don't have to cook the chicken first. My family really loves this dish. I have a young daughter, so I like to cut my chicken into small bite size pieces and mix them in with the rice mixture, but you don't have too. I some times use just cheddar cheese, if I don't have any provolone and it's just as wonderful.

cream of chicken soup
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup
1 can(s)
cream of celery soup
3 or 4
uncooked boneless skinless chicken breast
1 1/4 c
rice, instant
1/2 c
white or yellow onions chopped fine
1 1/3 c
1/2 stick
1/3 tsp
black pepper
3-5 slice
provolone cheese

Directions Step-By-Step

Preheat oven to 375. Grease a 9x13 dish and set aside.
Mix all the ingredients except for the chicken, butter and cheese in a large bowl. Then pour the mixture into the greased 9x13 dish.
Place the uncooked chicken on top of the rice mixture. Cut the butter into small pieces and place them on top in between the chicken. Cook for 1 1/2 hours. The last 15 minutes pull it out a place the provolone cheese on top, so it will melt and brown just a little .
