    white potatoes
  • 3 Tbsp
    non-fat milk
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 c
    low fat shredded cheddar cheese
  • 11/2
    pounds 95% lean, 5% fat ground beef
  • 1 can
    16 ounces can green beans drained
  • 1 can
    16 ounces can carrots
  • 1 c
    tomato sauce
  • 1 c
    medium onion(1/2 cup), chopped

    Peel and chop potatoes. Boil potatoes until tender. Mash potatoes adding butter, non-fat milk and reduced fat cheddar cheese. Sauté onion and when translucent add beef and cook until browned then mix in tomato sauce. In casserole dish, layer meat mixture, then cans of veggie, and then spread potato mixture on top. Bake 350 for 30-40 minutes.
