saucy beef and vegetable stir-fry

I love Asian food and this is one of my favorites. I fix this with chow mein noodles but you can fix it with rice. Pick up a pair of chopsticks and practice your technique on this dish.

Ingredients For saucy beef and vegetable stir-fry

  • 1
    beef flank steak (1 pound), cut into 1/4" strips
  • 1 tsp
    minced fresh gingerroot
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 c
    broccoli flowerets
  • 1 c
    julienne-cut zucchini
  • 1 c
    sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 c
    red or green bell pepper chunks
  • 1 jar
    (12-ozs) heinz homestyle brown with onions gravy
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • dash pepper
  • chow mein noodles or hot cooked rice

How To Make saucy beef and vegetable stir-fry

    In preheated large skillet or wok, stir-fry steak and gingerroot in oil; remove.

    Stir-fry mushrooms and red pepper 2 to 3 minutes or until tender-crisp, adding more oil if necessary.

    Stir in gravy, soy sauce and pepper. Return steak to skillet; heat 1 to 2 minutes or until hot. Serve with chow mein noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.
