My Mom gave me this recipe when my boys were little and I've made it for over 30 years. I don't use a full 1/3 cup of bbq sauce and sometimes add a few glugs of Worcestershire.

Ingredients For grandma's casserole

1 lbground beef

1small head cabbage
-
1/2 cchopped onion

1/2 cuncooked rice
-
1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tspblack pepper
-
1 cantomato soup (10 1/2 oz.)

2 cwater
-
1/3 cbarbeque sauce (or less)
How To Make grandma's casserole

1Chop cabbage and put in bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.

2Brown meat and onion.

3Stir in rice, salt and pepper.

4Spoon over cabbage.

5In the same pan, heat soup and water to boiling.

6Pour soup mixture over the other ingredients.

7Cover pan tightly with foil and bake 1 1/2 hours in 350 degree oven. Fluff lightly with fork before serving.

8Serves 4.
