Grandma's Casserole

My Mom gave me this recipe when my boys were little and I've made it for over 30 years. I don't use a full 1/3 cup of bbq sauce and sometimes add a few glugs of Worcestershire.

Ingredients

1 lb
ground beef
1
small head cabbage
1/2 c
chopped onion
1/2 c
uncooked rice
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1 can(s)
tomato soup (10 1/2 oz.)
2 c
water
1/3 c
barbeque sauce (or less)

Step-By-Step

1Chop cabbage and put in bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.
2Brown meat and onion.
3Stir in rice, salt and pepper.
4Spoon over cabbage.
5In the same pan, heat soup and water to boiling.
6Pour soup mixture over the other ingredients.
7Cover pan tightly with foil and bake 1 1/2 hours in 350
degree oven. Fluff lightly with fork before serving.
8Serves 4.
