This is my version of a traditional Texas favorite.

Ingredients

6
tenderized round steaks, (each 1/4 to 1/3 pound)
1 c
buttermilk
3
eggs
2 1/2 c
flour
1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
pepper
1/8 tsp
cayenne
1/2 tsp
paprika
1/2 tsp
seasoned salt
1/2 c
oil or more if needed

Step-By-Step

1Beat the steaks to 1/4 inch thick with a meat mallet.
2In a shallow bowl, beat eggs, buttermilk together.
3Place flour in another shallow bowl. Add salt, seasoned salt, paprika, cayenne and pepper. Mix well.
4Dredge each steak in the flour mixture to coat.Shake off excess.
5Then dip each in the egg mixture to coat.
6Next dredge in the flour mixture a second time coating evenly.
7Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
8Fry the steaks 4 minutes on each side or until browned and cooked through. Don't crowd the steaks in the skillet You can add more oil if needed.
9Serve with cream gravy.
