Ingredients

2 Tbsp
oil
1 1/3 c
uncooked rice
1 medium
onion, chopped fine
1 clove
garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
1 lb
ground beef
2 can(s)
(14.5 oz.) stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 can(s)
cream of celery soup, undiluted
1 can(s)
(8 oz.) tomato sauce
1/2 tsp
oregano
1/2 to 1 tsp
chili powder

Directions Step-By-Step

Saute rice in oil until golden brown.

Add onion, garlic, salt and pepper, and ground beef. Cook, stirring, until beef is browned and crumbly. Drain off grease.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Transfer to a greased ovenproof casserole dish.

Bake in a 350 F. oven for 1 hour, covering after the first 15 minutes.
