Ingredients For aloha joes

  • 1 lb
    ground round
  • 2 clove
    garlic (pressed or minced)
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 can
    15-oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp
    worchestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 can
    14.5 oz. can pineapple tidbits, drained
  • 6
    hamburger buns, split and toasted

How To Make aloha joes

  • 1
    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Crumble meat into pan and cook until no longer pink. Reduce heat to medium.

    Add garlic and onion, cook until onion is soft. Drain and discard excess fat. Sprinkle meat mixture with salt and pepper Add tomato sauce, worchestershire sauce and chili powder.

    Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Stir in drained pineapple. Remove from heat. Spoon into buns.
