Tortellini Soup

My mother-in-law used to cook dinner every Sunday. The original of this recipe was one of hers, with only broth, tortellini, celery and carrots. Although good, I like a little more substance, so I 'doctored' this up to our liking.

Ingredients

2 box
chicken broth (32 oz)
2 can(s)
chicken breast (large)
3 stalk(s)
celery sliced
1/2 bag(s)
baby carrots chunked
1 bunch
green onions sliced
1 box
frozen peas
salt and pepper to taste
parsley flakes
1 bag(s)
frozen three cheese tortellini

Step-By-Step

1Put broth into large pan. Add celery, carrots, onions, and seasonings and bring to slow boil.

2Drain chicken and put into broth. Simmer for about 5 minutes.

3Add frozen tortellini and peas. Cook another 5-10 minutes until pasta and peas are cooked.

4Serve with garlic bread and sprinkle with grated Romano or Parmesan cheese.
