Simmering Italian Pepper Steak

- 1 to 2 lb
- top round, bottom round or sirloin tip steak (any lean-cut) cut into strips
- 1 14 1/2 oz
- can italian recipe tomatoes and 1/2 cup water
- red pepper, cut in small strips
- green pepper, cut in small strips
- 1/2 medium
- onion in rings
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp
- italian seasoning
1Brown strips of steak in a lightly oiled skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
2Add onion in rings and peppers cut in strips. Add tomatoes, 1/2 cup water and 1 teaspoon italian seasoning.
3Cover and reduce heat. Simmer on top of stove for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
