My family and I love this sauce. We serve it with a big focaccia, salad and fruit. nice light summer dinner.

And, after all, who doesn't love the joy of eating "Street walker spaghetti"?

Ingredients

2 Tbsp
olive oil
1
onion, finely chopped

garlic
1 Tbsp
anchovy paste
3 Tbsp
tomato paste
1 c
kalamata olives, black olives and green olives mixed
3 Tbsp
capers
2 can(s)
28 oz diced tomatoes with liquid
1/2 tsp
dried basil
salt and pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp
red pepper flakes
1 lb
spaghetti

Directions Step-By-Step

In a large pot heat the olive oil over medium high heat.

Add the onion and saute until soft and lightly caramelized, about 6 minutes.

Add the garlic, tomato paste and anchovy paste and cook an additional 2 minutes.

Add the tomatoes and the remaining ingredients and simmer until the sauce is thickened and slightly reduced, about 40 minutes. Adjust seasonings.

Toss sauce with cooked pasta.
