1 1/2 - 2 lb
ground chuck or sirloin
3/4 small
white onion
5 medium
fresh garlic, minced
2 c
boiling water
beef bouillon, cubes
1 tsp
1 1/2 tsp
1 1/2 tsp
italian seasoning
1 1/2 tsp
oregano, dried
bay leaves
1/2 tsp
seasoning salt
1 tsp
1 tsp
1/4 tsp
3 tsp
garlic powder
4 Tbsp
1 can(s)
tomato paste
1 c
water or beef broth


Step 1 Direction Photo

1In dish put either 2 cups of beef broth or 2 cups of water in microwave and boil it, add the bouillon to the water and dissolve.

2While the bouillon is dissolving cut your onions and garlic.

3Add onions and garlic to the beef broth.

4Put your ground meat into your pan and break it up using a spoon, add the hot beef broth and let it simmer on low stirring and breaking down the meat.

5Once the meat is completely cooked add all seasonings, stir them in well.

6Add the tomato paste and stir in well.

7The sauce should look like this by now, add the sugar now.

8Let sauce simmer on very low so it dont burn or stick to bottom of pan, mine cooks around 2 to 3 hours.

When sauce is getting a little thick or cooking down add the extra cup of water or as much as you like to loosen the sauce up a little. Let it cook about half hour more if you add the extra water.
