Macaroni Supreme Casserole

This recipe is from my mother. She fixes this casserole for church lunch. Everyone in my family likes it when all of us are at home. I know you will enjoy!

pinch tips: How to Cut Cherry Tomatoes


1--8 oz
pkg. elbow macaroni
1 lb
hamburger meat
1/2 c
bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c
onion, chopped
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/2 tsp
dry mustard
1 tsp
1-16 oz
can stewed tomatoes

Directions Step-By-Step

Cook macaronu until tender. Brown hamburger meat in small amount of shortening. Add bell pepper, onion to meat and saute. Add stewed tomatoes, black pepper, dry mustard and salt to cooked macaroni and heat. In a casserole dish or oblong baking dish. Arrange a layer macaroni mixture then a layer of meat mixture. Repeat until all is used up. Dot with margarine all over the mixture. Then layer of cheddar cheese (grated). Top with 2 pkg. of crushed ritz crackers. Bake in a 375 degrees oven until bubbly all over and top is golden brown for about 40 to 45 minutes.
