Italian Spaghetti

I learned how to use this recipe when I was in high school and I have used it ever since. It's one of our favorites. My husband Terry loves the taste of it and also my family. Besides Italian food it is the greatest. I give this one a thumbs up and for anyone to try.

onion chopped
2 Tbsp
margarine or butter
1 lb
ground beef
16 oz
can tomatoes
6 oz
tomato paste
2 Tbsp
chopped parsley flakes
1 dash(es)
garlic powder
2 Tbsp
chili powder
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
12 oz
pkg. spaghetti

Directions Step-By-Step

Brown onion in margarine.
Add ground beef and stir until brown.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste and other ingredients. Simmer as long as possible, stirring occasionally.
Serve meat sauce over spaghetti or mix with spaghetti.
For Spaghetti:

Boil large pan of water with 1 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoon butter or margarine. Add spaghetti to boiling water. Still with metal spoon until it begins to boil again. Stir occasionally.
Cook 12-15 minutes until done.
Drain and serve with meat sauce.
