I didn't have anymore sauce in the pantry, so had to make some! It is good with home canned tomatoes from the summer garden or good quality canned ones from the store.

salt and pepper to taste
28 oz
canned tomato chunks in juice (i use home canned)
8-10
meatballs, frozen, optional

Directions Step-By-Step

In a sauce pan heat oil. Saute onion and garlic; rub dried herbs in palm of hand before adding to onion. Add tomatoes and juice, sugar, salt & pepper; (add frozen meatballs if desired). Sometimes I saute Italian sausage with the onion and omit the meatballs. When making vegetarian style, I leave out all meat!
