Ingredients For praline french toast

1 loafcinnamon bread (with or without raisins), unsliced

1/2 cpecan halves

4 x lgeggs, beaten

1/2 cmilk
-
1 Tbsppure vanilla extract

1/2 stickbutter, divided

2 Tbspsugar
-
3/4 cmaple syrup
How To Make praline french toast

1Cut bread 3/4" thick slices (to equal 8 bread slices from loaf).

2Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.

3In a shallow bowl, combine eggs, milk & extract.

4Preheat large nonstick skillet on medium high heat. Add 1 tbsp butter, swirl to melt. Dip 4 slices bread, one at a time, into egg mixture, coating both sides; remove & let excess drip off & add to skillet. Cook 3 minutes each side or until golden. Place in oven on serving platter to keep warm until the rest is ready. Repeat with remaining 4 slices & 1 tbsp butter.

5Add remaining butter & pecans to skillet. Cook & stir 3 minutes or until lightly toasted. Increase heat to high; add sugar & cook 2 minutes, stirring continually. Remove pan from heat; stir in syrup. Serve over french toast slices.
