My maternal Grandfather, John Walker ( see picture) loved this dish. Along with creamed peas and carrots. Nothing fancy ...just gooood eating!!
Simple and quick.
Bless his heart, when he knew we would be visiting, down in southern Ill. He would remind me to bring a can of salmon..so's he could enjoy his favorite meal.
Along with grandmas great baking powder biscuits!
Memories: When I was a wee one..I remember Grandpa, gathering us kids around him, and taking out his one eye (a glass eye) and putting it in his mouth pretending to eat it like a jaw breaker!!
